Jose Gil Molina III

Father, son, brother, uncle and friend to all, our beloved Jose Gil Molina III, 44, was born December 15, 1979, in Brownsville, Texas, and departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest Friday, March 1, 2024.

Gil was infatuated with mechanical things early in his childhood and was known to take his parents household appliances apart wondering how things worked. This infatuation with mechanical things led him into the automotive industry. He was a natural born technician and obtained his associate degree in automotive mechanics from Texas Southmost College. He was a loving father of a son with Rachel Porter—Dante Gil Molina.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Gil Molina Sr.; two brothers, Ricardo “Ricky” Molina, Fred “Freddy” Scarpenter.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him are his beloved mother, Maria Guadalupe Molina; his son, Dante Gil Molina; ten siblings, Lupita (Dean) Chavez, Alicia (Jesus) Molina-Garcia, Marie Daniel, Eva (Damon) Raley, and Joe (Gloria) Scarpenter, Jose Gil Molina Jr., Mario Molina, Dora Alicia Molina-Martinez, Lisa Molina-Cortez, and Jose Luis Molina; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Delta Chapel.  At the family's request cremation will be held.
