Gloria M. Gonzalez

Gloria M. Gonzalez, 90, of Brownsville, Texas went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Gloria was a lifelong civil servant for Cameron County and faithfully volunteered in her lifetime parish, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She dedicated her life to family, giving to others in the community, and spreading loving kindness to all she met. Her favorite pastimes included Saturday night dancing with her beloved husband and watching the Houston Astros.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jesus "Chuy" Gonzalez and son Daniel (Sally) Gonzalez.  

She is survived by her 6 children, Delia (Luis) Saenz, Noe (Nina) Gonzalez, Drucilla (Clarence) Callis, David (Blasa) Gonzalez, Dorisella Gonzalez, Diana (Rogelio) Garza, her daughter-in-law Sally Gonzalez, 20 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

Celebration of life will be held in Brownsville, Texas.

Public viewing will be held at Delta Funeral Home on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 12-5 pm, followed by a rosary at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 6:15 pm. Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 12 pm, followed by internment at Buena Vista Cemetery at 1 pm.
