Juana T. Salas

Juanita T. Salas, born Nov. 8, 1922, has left this world for her permanent home in one of God’s many palaces.  She joins our dad and many other loved ones on Nov. 23, 2013. 

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, her indelible footprint will be part of all our lives as we extend her loving and caring ways. Her strength, character, discipline and especially faith, were the pillars of her life she taught us to live by.  She was the love of our dad’s life!  She was a mother figure to more than just us.

She is preceded in death by Cecilia Salas.

Juanita’s memory will live through the prosperous generations she leaves behind, beginning with her children; Fr. Raul R. Salas OMI, Rosario and Victor Dehoyos, Rolando C. and Paula I. Salas, Rosa Ena and Jesse Lachico, Rene Salas; her grandchildren; Daisy, Denise, Deseri, Roy, Kristine, Jesse D. and Michael; her great grandchildren; Clarissa, Cailey, Cameron, Cassandra, Destini, A J, Daisi, Jeric, Cayden, R J, Abigail, Sophia, JR, Jackson; her two surviving siblings, Rosa Ena Harris and Corina Farias have always been a constant source of support and love.

Visitation will be held at Delta Funeral Directors on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wed. Nov. 27, 2013 at Sacred Heart Church, her son, Fr. Raul R. Salas, OMI, will be officiating. 

Committal services will follow to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. 

We the Salas Family would like to acknowledge and give a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Alejandra Morales for the 9 years of constant love and care for our mother. We would also like to express the same gratitude to Mrs. Socorro Richard for her 2 years of love and care for our mother.

To the “Heartland Hospice Care “, a special salute of gratitude and appreciation for the level of care that was given to our mother and support for our family during our most trying of times. Thank you.
