Luis Eduardo "Wicho" Olivares, 54, went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2021. He was a lifetime resident of Brownsville. He enjoyed working as a home health provider. He loved hanging out with friends and family. He enjoyed rock n roll music, loved cookouts, and loved the Dallas Cowboys. He was loving, caring, and had a strong family bound. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ismael and Beatriz Olivares; his siblings, Manuela Garcia, Candelario Garcia, Vicente Garcia, and Roberto Cantu.
He is survived by his siblings, Yolanda Ayala, Juanita G. Sandoval, and Mike Hernandez and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved fur babies, Penny #1, Penny #2, and Rocky.
Visitation will be held from 11 am to 6 pm with a rosary at 5 pm on Monday October 25, 2021 at the Delta Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Tuesday October 26, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Burial will follow at Buena Vista Cemetery. At the family's request, please wear rock n roll shirts or Cowboys gear.
Pallbearers are Tony Rodriguez, Steve Rodriguez, Louie Lavios, Vicente Garcia, Joey Garcia, and Martin Sandoval. Honorary pallbearers are Jaime "Yogi" Espinoza, Armando Sandoval, Matthew Sandoval, Jesse Resendiz, Enrique "Kike" Ayala and Henry Ayala.
