Maria Elena Ayala,79, passed away on August 15, 2017 in Houston, Texas.
She is preceded in death by parents, Maria Del Rosario Villalvazo Blas and Jose De Jesus Villalvazo Larios; her husband, Felipe De Jesus Ayala: her siblings, Aaron, Virginio, Natividad, Alejandro, Agustin, and Antonio.
She is survived by her sisters, Maria Catalina Villalvazo Blas, Crecenciana Villalvazo, Juana Flemate and her brother, Celso Villalvazo; her children and adopted children, Juan Ayala, Josefina, Armandina Rodriguez , Mercedes, Glenda 💕 Buentello, Graciela, Felipe Maximo, Lucia Ayala, Juana, Laura, Agustín, Antonio, Abram, Alma, Ana, and Raudel Castorena, Joe Villalvazo, Juan Villalvazo and Alondra; her grandchildren, Samantha Garcia, Natalia Ayala, Omar Vasquez, Julio Marines II, Andrea, and Antonio Martinez, Richard V., and 💕 Lela Marines, Angel A. Cardenas, Victor H. Cardenas, Joanna Ayala, Helen E. Ayala, Maurilio D. Ayala, Guadalupe D. Sanchez, Cristina Ruiz, Francisco Ruiz, Martha Ruiz, Jorge Ruiz, Jaime Ruiz, Soledad Ayala, Alonso D. Ayala, Gabriela A. Puga, Thomas Puga, Agustin J. Ayala, Alexandria Ayala, China Clarrissa 💕 Ayala, Melody Ayala, Sydney Ayala, Abigail A. Ayala, Casper L. Ayala, Sebastian Vega, Phillip Vega, Xochitl Vega; 59 great grandchildren and Matita Ayala 💕 and Delilah Curiel.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday August 18, 2017 at the Delta Chapel.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday August 19, 2017 at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church. Burial will follow to Buena Vista Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a memorial contribution be made in her honor to Immaculate Conception Cathedral, 1158 E Jefferson St. Brownsville, Texas 78520.
