Martha Jeanette (McInnis) Lipscomb, 84, lifetime resident of Brownsville, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Valley Baptist Medical Center with family by her side.She is survived by her three sons, Gordon (Amy), Don Alan, Jr., and Mark Aron (Sue). Martha leaves behind seven grandchildren, Gordon Lee, Scott Dylan, and Jake Crixell, Jennifer June, Martha May, and April Lyn, Neil Lee (Anessa), and two great grandchildren, Harley and Annabelle, two sisters in law, Sue McInnis and Priscilla Lipscomb, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Don Lipscomb, her parents A.G. and Betty McInnis, brothers, Richard, Alex "Jake", and Arthur McInnis. In the late 1930's the McInnis family established McInnis Flowers and Gifts in downtown Brownsville. Martha began her forty plus year career in the floral business, learning alongside her parents and paternal grandmother Mabel McInnis. She eventually became the shop owner and served the Brownsville community providing distinctive and unique floral arrangements loved by all. She enjoyed fishing in the bay with Donnie and her family and took great pride in her home gardens. Garner State Park on the Frio River was a favorite vacation spot with fond memories of floating down the river with family and friends. The family extends their thanks to Yvette Cano of Cano Homes and all the caring staff who became her close friends. We would also like to thank the staff at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen who cared for her during her stay. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Delta Funeral Directors.
