Robert Howard Chase

Robert Howard Chase, 52, was called home by his maker on October 15, 2022. Robert was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. He was the epitome of a free spirit who lovedto dance, cook meals for his family, and discuss conspiracy theories. Those who really knew him, though, can attest to his forgiving and compassionate nature and sense of humor and biting wit that could liven up even the most serious occasion. His was a life governed by three passions: the study of American History, Rock and Roll, and his mother. More importantly, Robert played the hand that life dealt him without complaint.

Robert Chase is preceded in death by his father, Isaac Chase, his paternal grandparents, Jake and Jean Chase of Kansas, his maternal grandparents, Andres Alviar and Rafaela Manzano Alviar.

He is survived by his mother, Jovita Alviar Chase, his sisters Christina Chase and Barbara Johnston, his uncle Andres Alviar Jr (Adela), his aunt Delilah Chase, and his 5 children: Hilary Nicole Chase, Valerie Chase, Alejandro Avalos, Robert Chase II, and Daisy Mae Chase, and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Delta Funeral Home located at 1300 East Harrison Street, on Saturday, October 29th, from 2:30 to 4:30 P.M followed by the reading of the rosary and prayer service from 4:30 to 6:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Celebrate Recovery Program of the Brownsville Community Fellowship Church located at 2414 Central Blvd.
