Robert Dario "DByrrd" Perez II

Robert Dario “DByrrd” Perez II, 49, passed away Thursday evening, April 13th, 2023 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family and close friends. 

DByrrd was a lifelong resident of Brownsville, Texas. He attended James Pace High School and loved skating the city. He worked as a merchant mariner in New York City and most recently traveled the U.S. as a video technician. One of his favorite places to be was on a boat with his buddies fishing in the beautiful waters of South Padre Island, Texas. 
Hunting, cooking, fishing and riding his motorcycle were some of his favorite things to do. But, the thing he enjoyed the most was spending quality time with his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Azalia “Sally” Perez and dogs, George and Washington. 

He is survived by his father, Robert Dario Perez, his brother, Richard Michael Perez, his sister in law, Audria Liane Perez, nephews, Matthew and Maddox Perez, and nieces, Madeleine and Mercie Perez. 

At the family’s request a private cremation was held.  A memorial service will be held at Delta Funeral Home, 1300 E. Harrison St, Brownsville, TX, on Friday, April 21,  2023 at 6:00pm.

Dbyrrd was a strong fighter, but is now sailing on a journey to shores that we cannot see.
