Roy Edward Cantu

Roy Edward Cantu, 77, went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2022 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. He was a lifetime resident of Brownsville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Maria Luisa Cantu; and his brother, Juan Cantu.

He is survived by his children: Corina (Antonio) Guerrero, Rosario Cantu, Roy Cantu, Javier (Marissa) Cantu, Araceli (Adolfo) Lopez, and Peter (Nadia) Cantu, Roy Ornelas Cantu, Carlos Cantu, Christopher Cantu, Jaime Cantu, Amy Cantu, George, and Asucena; his siblings: Lydia, Helen, Rosa, Joe, Virginia, Irma, Estella, Janie, Gloria, and David. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 8 pm with a rosary at 6 pm on Monday April 18, 2022 at the Delta Chapel.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday April 19, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church.

At his request cremation will follow.
